Ted’s paper and interview!

Ted recently published a paper in The Journal of Physical Chemistry B entitled “Molecular Dynamics Investigations of Dibutyl-phosphoric Acid– Parameterization and Dimerization.” It explores the interactions of molecules involved in re-claiming or recycling uranium and plutonium from spent nuclear fuel. These discoveries are important for reducing hazardous waste produced from nuclear power plants, and raises the amount of fuel available for generating more nuclear energy. Nuclear energy doesn’t emit carbon dioxide, the greenhouse gas with the highest global emissions, and is a strategy for increasing global sustainability.

Ted recently did an interview for Brews and Brains on his research. Check it out below! He invites everyone, scientists and the general public alike, to check out the meetup group. They have a holiday party on December 11th– see the flyer for more info!
